Fuck it felt good tonight. 20 minutes of ice time after not playing for weeks. Opening day after TOO MANY months of being out of the NHL. OK Blazers had nothing on the Dallas Stars. And being out there with Mike... it was beyond words.
We got really damn fucking lucky tonight. But I'll take anything we can get. We just can't do this again. 4-0 in the first is the shittiest way to start any game. We won it, because we worked our asses off. But we should start out working our asses off, not double-timing it to play catch-up.
Guys.... it's so damn great to be back with everyone, and we got the 2 points. But so did the Ducks. The race is already starting here, and we gotta keep up a good pace.

And finally, my almost 13 month old darlings got to see their daddies play a real NHL game.

Our kids were so cute in their Stars gear. I wonder what kind of attention span they had during the game. I just get paranoid my helmet is going to scare them.
